Good morning all, I'm having a bit of trouble getting my wireless card to work. It's an AR5213 and so far I have the driver, at least, installed correctly.
The trouble starts when I try to configure it. For some unknown reason I can't access my club commercial source(s) because they don't like my email or something. This only started a couple of days ago so I don't know what's up with that. I am a silver level member so I should be able to get at this stuff. :-) Anyway, I've left somewhat panic stricken messages in the Club Forum and to the folks that run my.mandrake.com so I hope to get that worked out soon. Anyway, I can't get the packages slmodem and madwifi that I need. Now it seems to appear that ndiswrapper is also failing though when I examine the logs it seems that it isn't at all. This could be the failure of wpa_supplicant or the version mismatch of ndiswrapper. (????) I am running a Firestarter as my firewall, which I'm beginning to think may not be able to handle this as it doesn't even show wlan0 though it shows sit0 and eth1, neither of which is active. I'd really like to get this solved so any help would be appreciated.
