I'd like to add something to this thread, I have a Sony Digital camera that 
also uses the 3.5" cds. Before upgrading to 10.1 I ran 9.0, it used to read 
the 3.5" picture cds with no problem at all.  Now, in 10.1 whenever I try to 
read one with either Konqueror or K3b I get:

Could Not Mount Device
The reported error was:

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock
on /dev/hdc

or too many mounted file systems.

As I said above, I never had a problem with 9.0 reading the disks in the cd 
drive.  FWIW, yes the disk is finalized.
