Just marketing. Who bloody even really cares. In the IRC channels, folks were
complaining that Tux looked "dead" (i.e. the stars for eyes, etc etc etc) and
also commented that it looked, well, cheesy. Go figure. Look, developers
AREN'T marketers. But all in all, who cares? It all can be changed. That's
what's important. And there ARE some that thought it was rather cute. I
personally KILL all the graphical crap on boot and in console. Can't stand it
and can't stand the resources it sucks up. If I want graphical, I'll run M$
stuff. I personally like my linux lean and mean and stripped bare. Kinda like
my women. (Er....womMAN)
