yes we do love newbies... they are tasty with ketchup... now if that seemed like a wise ass and answer (and you should be aware we do not allow the use of the proper spelling of [EMAIL PROTECTED]) then my answer about shutdown will seem even more so, as root "shutdown -h now" (also without the quotes)
