 I agree the core design if windoz needs rewriting. But the user does have a 
part to play. A lot of PC users treat PC's as a consumer product, IE like a 
stereo or tv system. You just switch on and use. They don't spend the time to 
learn about their system. When they get a virus or some other nasty they take 
their machine to a shop or the local geek (me) to get it fixed. In my case I 
recommend they get a good quality anti virus package, not one of the free 
windoz ones. they then install it and expect all their problems to go away. 
They still don't bother to learn what viruses, worms or Trojans are and how 
they work. These people don't know the difference between the O/S and the 
game / word processor they are running, or that there are alternatives to 
windoz. Its up to likes of you and me to educate these people. People say to 
me whats that version of windows you are running when they see my computer. I 
tall them its not windoz's its Linux, and then tell them all the pros and 
cons. Then I give them a copy of mandrake move to play with.
