Thanks Nigel.

I ended up putting 'leafpad' on for the editor. It will only be me using
it as my friend is new to this game and is only doing it because she
was given the bits by another friend of hers. They've been sitting at
her place for a couple of years.

I will be putting 9.2 on the box in lieu of LE2005, which I've on it at
the moment, mainly because of the winmodem. It's an old one of mine and
the driver is only good for 2.4.x kernel.
