Well, seems your Boot Loader isn't installed to
the MBR.
okay, all you have to do is;
insert the 1st CD and choose
"Upgrade"
and DO NOT select any packages to
install
and @ the configure pannel, select either LILO or
GRUB and install it on the MBR.
(you can find the steps easily from the
wizad)

I have an Elonex Pro wire 150-2
laptop, Intel Celeron M 1.3G, 496MB RAM, 80G hard drive,
built in wireless (broadband) and am currently running Windows
XP.
I downloaded Mandrake 10.1 and ran through the
installation and all seemed well but when I restarted, Windows appeared as
normal?
I had created a new partition for linux
alongside the existing Windows one and expected to get a choice of which OS
to use on startup.....but didn't
