Yeah, I have to agree with you one that. Personally, I think that the
only thing that Linspire's done so far that can be interpreted as a
benefit is that file, and maybe a couple of other contributions to the
community.
On the other hand, the fact that their OS sets up the users as root
users will be the biggest Linux detractor for a very long time to come.
People may think that all *Nixes run the same way, once hackers find a
way to screw Linspire and the word gets out.
I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop with them. When they start
announcing that their OS is just as secure as Windows, run for cover and
batten down the hatches until the $h^*^**T Storm passes.
Yeesh! Gives me nightmares just thinking about it!
