Mostly personal preference and usability.
I prefer gnome-terminal for it's colours, fonts, tabs and etc. -> almost like
konsole, but I'm just used to it now. Used to live on Eterm, but, well, I'm
stuck on gnome-terminal now.
Each of the terms does have different means of customisation and levels of
customisation - like with aterm and Eterm you can get some really neat
transparency stuff going without alot of system overhead - all nice to play
with and experiment with.
My suggestion: Play. Experiment. Toy around. Don't be afraid of breaking
anything!
Okay thanks - yes I have installed eterm on this PC and am currently
trying it out. Have aterm in vectorlinux on another, which is fun.
Guess I could try the gnome sometime too. Until now have mainly used
konsole because it was there :-)

How many Bavarian Illuminati does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Three: one to screw it in, and one to confuse the issue.
