Seems I'm not the only one curious about this discrepancy: http://weblog.infoworld.com/smbit/archives/2005/09/dell_and_mandri.html If this is correct, it's Mandriva that overstated the situation, and this offer is only available to students in France. Oh well, I'll still take the OS-free PC next time I need one. Last time I rolled my own to avoid the M$ tax.
