You can download the 3-disk version for free.  If you buy a Power Pack 
you get certain commercial packages and drivers on additional disks.

If you download the free version, you can download all updates and many 
additional packages also free of charge.  If you join the club instead 
of buying a set of disks Mandriva get all the money instead of a slice 
of it, so helping ensure survival.

There are also some packages, mostly very new stuff, that are made 
available to club members, while others have to wait until the next 
version.

Do you know what card it is?  Wireless seems to have been a mixed 
blessing with Mandriva so far.  Some people have had a lot of problems.  
OTOH, I've just set up 2005LE (club version) on an Acer laptop and the 
wireless worked out of the box.
