After completing my `first` BitTorrent download, I

What about the other files? I see some "md5", which I
think are for the checksum, a couple of "sha" and an
"idx".
What do I do with the no ISO files?
The md5 files are for the MD% sums for the .iso files. In Linux, you can
run md5sum -c <the .md5 file name> to check the matching .iso file. The
.sha are another form of error checking. You can also find Windows
programs that will use ether form of error checking to verify that the
.iso files are correct. (You will have to search for them, as I don't
remember the names for the windows programs.) Other then that, you can
ignore everything except the .iso files. The .iso files you can burn to
CD with the program of your choice. One of the options when you boot
with the install disk is to verify that the disks are burnt properly.
