It's not clear to me what you're trying to accomplish. If you simply want to have another host known to your box you can add an entry to /etc/hosts. OTOH, if you're trying to relay mail to your exchange server you need to add a "relayhost" entry to your /etc/postfix/main.cf file. I relay mail from my linux box to an exchange server, and my main.cf file has: relayhost = xxxx.com Note that I am using the name of the exchange server, not the hard coded IP address. HTH, -larry
