OK, sounds good. The 10.1, as you say, can give me a basic intro to Mandriva....I'm used to wintel and have been introduced generally to apple.

The manuals usually get posted on the web-site as pdf files after a few
weeks/months.  You can get a copy of the latest versions, the 10.1 Starter
Guide (6Mb) and the 10.1 Command Line Guide (1.6Mb) (there were no manuals
for 10.2) from:
 http://www1.mandrivalinux.com/en/fdoc.php3
It's looking a little dated now, but the underlying fundamentals remain the
same and it should be helpful.

Plus, once installed, there's a tonne of documentation included on the CD's.
