Rather a long quote, for someone who is advocating pruning. Why did you

OK - symantics. No big deal.

Indeed, and we do get tired of reminding people. Bandwidth is a real
issue for some of our readers.

Unnecessary, if you apply intelligent pruning. What's more, when you do
need to quote a sentence or two it's harder then to differentiate the
levels of quoting.

I had no problem up to this. I use an intelligent mail reader that
differentiates the levels of comment. Yours, however, shows your quote
and your comment as the same level in your posted message.

You tell us that your reader cannot properly display quotes. You have
been given a solution to the problem and you appear to be determined to
ignore it. I shall, therefore, ignore any more of your comments on
this subject.
