Thanks for that....
Had to use my Mozilla Firefox directory in the end, as the flash player
wouldnt install into an empty netscape directory!
Ok, next problem..... I have Sun Java installed, and it works fine with
Firefox. I have a couple of sites that I regularly look at, that stream
output from 23cm ATV Repeaters (that will mean nothing to nearly all of
you!), and Firefox does this fine.
However, with Konqueror, I just get "Loading Applet" and nothing happens......
Konqueror has automatically picked up on
"/usr/java/jre1.5.0_04/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so" as the path to
the java executable..... now, I know that this path works with Firefox....
but is it correct for Konq??
I have only used Konqueror as a file manager before, because of these kind of
issues.... but I'm quite keen to get it up and running as a decent web
browser..... I just need to overcome the java problem, and I'll be happy!
Cheers,
James
First off, did you make sure you made the plugins directory inside the
netscape directory as it work for me fine.
You also can just copy the flash plugins from firefox to the
/netscape/plugins dir and then have konqueror scan for new plugins and
it should run..
Now for java in konqueror, once java is on the system, you then go to
settings in konqueror and go to the javascript/java configuration and
near the bottom you can browse for the java dir and the bottom line for
other java stuff...
