I've never used the zero config stuff. Seemed to be more trouble than it was worth.

I feel the same way. I like to have more control over my network
then zero config would give me. Because of this, I have not done
anything with it. I don't have mDNSResponder running here. About
all I know is that it has to be running on all the machines and
that it is somehow connected with howl... The idea is that DNS is
automaticly updated to reflect the machines connected on the local
network. (Plug and Play for DNS?)

Maybe someone that is actually using it can take over from here, and
help the op get it working?
