I think I heard that newer versions of ALSA work with Audigy: 'Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook PCMCIA Tiny2 Details (emu10k1) Driver works on ALSA # 1.0.11rc2 or later. Digital/Analog input not tested. Needs more development work'.
I have no idea where I picked this info from, or when but, alas, LE 2005 has ALSA 1.0.8 and have too many snd programs that depend on ALSA and don't want to break my system. Anyway, would the whole system really just freeze on bootup without an updated emu10k1 ? Nev.
