I installed the same firefox on my Ubuntu box and deleted the plugins folder and created a link to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and all plugins loaded properly, but it is a 32 bit box, so maybe the plugin problems are because this is a 64 bit box? I tried this on this box with 2006 and it doesn't work.
