I am agree with you for 2005LE and default enabling acpi. But where do i write "acpi=on" ? Which file? where is it? My computer has a 256 MB memory and 512 MB swap file. It seems to me that i have enough swap area. In your opinion, in order to execute the clean and correct hibernate/resume, must the acpi and related deamon started and run on the computer? Because, I am new for linux especially acpi works.
Best regards. Tansu > 2005LE does not enable acpi by default (I think). You need to put > "acpi=on" in > the lilo append line. Also look in the syslog for messages from the acpi > daemon if it will not start. > > I assume your swap file is larger enough to hold your memory contents? > > derek > > -- > www.jennings.homelinux.net > http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org > ____________________________________________________ > Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva? > Go to http://store.mandriva.com > Join the Club : http://www.mandrivaclub.com > ____________________________________________________ > ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
