>/dev/sda /mnt/TRAVELDRIVE vfat >pamconsole,exec,noauto,codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-1,managed 0 0
Next step I'd try is to edit (as root) /etc/fstab and add ,rw behind 'managed', like this: pamconsole,exec,noauto,codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-1,managed,rw 0 0 Then umount and mount the device again without disconnecting it. Perhaps then you can write to it. After mounting, first check that /etc/fstab still has the change in it you applied. USB has the habit of removing and adding those lines. Good luck.
