OK, this is revealing. I seem to have a zero-byte file for fortune.
I am not sure how I managed to do that, but I must have done *something*.<g>
I will try to reinstall fortune and see if that takes care of it.
OK, this is harder than I thought. I have my install disks handy, but
how do I install a specific program from them?
