The newbie way with the uninstall GUI in Mandriva Control Centre, and then the 
install GUI to install it again.

Or the not quite so newbie way from a root terminal
urpme fortune
urpmi fortune

see 'man urpmi' 'man urpme' or #urpmi and #urpme  in a konqueror URL line.
