how do I tell everything to use dhcp?

I don't have your router/modem, but I would try using your browser and the url of http://whatever_IP_is_default_for_the_modem/router and seeing if it's set up has settings to dynamically assign IPs or assign IPs to certain MAC addresses. heck, if you know have it working to suit you using static IPs, then why bother messing? whatever works for you is the right way to do it, imho.

Yes - part of me thinks "well it works, so leave it." Another part says "this is something new to learn, or try". But I'll try that - thanks
