Most of the fax-sending applications on the web upload the document from your computer using a web interface accessed by your browser. Usually the document has to be in a specific format like PDF or MS Word. Also, you are expected to pay for the service. I don't know of any that are free for sending faxes. That isn't to say that there aren't any. Maybe if you dig deep, you'll find one. If you sign up for one, make sure you indicate that your system is Linux. They have the cheap programs for Windows because they can install proprietary software on the computer. Their proprietary programs don't run on Linux computers, so they generally charge you a bit more to use the service. Maybe they can run using Wine these days, but when I last tried using Wine, they didn't run. deedee Registered Linux User #327485 WordStar Users Group Community: http://wordstar2.com/WordStar_Users WordStar & Linux: http://wordstar2.com Mailing Lists: http://wordstar2.com/mailman/listinfo -- _______________________________________________ Search for businesses by name, location, or phone number. -Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC=lycos10 ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
