Just upgraded to 1.5 and now the spell checker brings up every single word as an error, and doesn't suggest alternative spellings. I seem to have the relevant things installed - the dictionaries etc. Anyone able to fix? Vague idea this happened before.
TIA

Rosemary,

When you run the spellchecker, do you get a Language box at the bottom of the window with a drop-down menu? If so, what does the menu contain?

Richard is currently having problems with the Thunderbird spellchecker and it's being discussed on the expert list - I tried 1.5, and could only get it to spell in US English - the GB English dictionary extension kept saying it was installing, but it didn't!

We don't have a fix yet - my personal solution was to revert to Thunderbird 1.0.6 because 1.5 didn't actually have any new or improved features that I needed and at least 1.0.6 speaks my language!
