 Hi,

I have a USB drive plugged into mdk2006. I want to plug it out. How do I
tell linux to let go of it?

Go into the "devices" folder on your Desktop, select "removable" with a right-click and choose "safely remove" in the pop-up menu.

After that (you'll see the little green arrow next to the icon go away) you can pull it out without any worries.

Good luck,

I see the USB drive in Konqueror but not in the "devices" folder on my desktop (I am using KDE). Is there a problem with my setup?

Thanks
