I think you mean dhcp. Dynamic dns is something different, where your ISP assigns you an ip addresss using dhcp, and you want to have a server on the internet using that dynamic address. Also, after you edit an config file, you typically have to restart the affected service (or reboot, if you prefer the Windoze way 8^) to get the new settings in effect.
