Wel the easiest would be to upgrade,
Is any reason not to upgrade to mdv2006 ?

I see the version you have 88.1, is from the website and has a lot of
fixes. the version from the updates is clamav-0.88.tar.gz
So if all you want is clamav updated on your 10.1 box then you can
try to rebuild it, may give you buildrequire errors, be prepared you
may have to try to build more than just clamav ...

1. don't build as root. Good way to bork the PC.
2. setup a build environment.
create the directories in your $HOME with:
   $> mkdir -pv ~/rpm/{RPMS{i586,noarch},SOURCES,SPECS,SRPMS,BUILD,tmp}

   setup your config files:
   put these in ~/.rpmrc

    buildarchtranslate: i386: i586
    buildarchtranslate: i486: i586
    buildarchtranslate: i586: i586
    buildarchtranslate: i686: i586

put these in ~/.rpmmacros

    %_topdir $HOME/rpm
    %%_tmppath $HOME/rpm/tmp
    %
    %%_signature gpg
    %%_gpg_name Mandrakelinux
    %%_gpg_path

By golly, I'm beginning to think Linux really *is* the best thing
