I was gonna say, don't even mention smb4k. I messed with that during an earlier install and it was a bloody mess. Just like everything KDE. It's my own home dir (on the remote machine). I know they say '90% of all Linux problems are to do with perms', but I'm the same user on both machines. It used to be so easy with the Samba Wizard. Just check 'share out users home dirs', and you were done.
