Did yours suddenly stop working? Has it ever worked in Mandriva 2006?
Thanks.
To tell you the truth, I don´t know if it worked at first or not. When I first
installed Mdv 2006, all the things I normally use were working without
problem. I don´t remember why I tried to start Harddrake but it just doesn´t
work.
This is what I get:
First I have the message saying´'please wait, detection in progress´ or
something like that with a frozen screen. Then, about 1mn later, I get the
Window with :
"Please
wait" is not responding. This window belongs to application harddrake2
(PID=6944, hostname=localhost).´
asking me if I want to close the application. No window behind a window.
I have an AMD Athlon XP2400+ FSB 266MHz

is this during startup? there is no reason to run harddrake unless you
install new hardware. it must have worked at one point or the installs
hardware detection would not have worked
is this on a box that was upgraded/updated to a newer version without a
'clean install' to that version? which versions? have you used MCC or a
command line to upgrade to the newst kernel for your version? for me,
MDV2006, x86_64, dual opteron 242s) harddrake works just fine.
