Instead of deleting .kde, it is far more preferable to rename it to something
like .kde-old or .kde34. There are several very important files kept in
there that users may regret deleting, such as the kdewallet passwords file (I

bookmarks (I have 100's), kmail filter settings (I have about 30), default
resource files such as your address book and calendar, etc. By renaming
them, you keep these important files around so you can re-import them and
save yourself a lot of typing and grief.
