I might try the expert list with this problem, as newbies most often
need install configuration help, where as this seems to me to be a squid
or squidguard configuration problem, or a shorewall and apache problem.
are you running any of those services?
when you say you 'tried the router', do you mean you connected and
configured the router as your gateway and directly connected all 4
computers to the router and stlll could not get to certain sites, but
only on windows machines?

i am running shorewall, but i am certain i have it set up right, but i am not shure. when i tryed ruter and switch i use my MDV06 server as a gateway not a ruter.
