    problem.
    are you running any of those services?
    when you say you 'tried the router', do you mean you connected and
    configured the router as your gateway and directly connected all 4
    computers to the router and stlll could not get to certain sites, but
    only on windows machines?

i am running shorewall, but i am certain i have it set up right, but i am not shure. when i tryed ruter and switch i use my MDV06 server as a gateway not a ruter.
Can you do stuff like post your configuration? Maybe that might provide some clues.
