okay, this is getting ridiculous. I had to replace my NIC with a new one that uses the nat semi module.

Now, the damn thing has lost the gateway (yes, I used mcc to set it but it's GONE....AGAIN.)

ifconfig does not show a gateway. I've unplugged and replugged the cables between the linux box and the router. I also have a winblows machine on this router and IT doesn't have any problems with accessing the net. In fact, that's what I'm using right now to send this out.

Any attempt at a ping renders the "unknown host" error. I've reinstalled this OS twice now and I've had nothing but grief. Before I do a back install of 10.1 and totally redo everything....

Does ANYONE have an idea of what the hell's going on???????!!!!!!!!!
