Thank you for the fast response!Seems like the things not working in the way they are supposed to do.I create directory and move the GoogleEarthLinux.bin there, then from the shell in this directory I type (as user and later as root, same result): ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin, so the shell respond: bash: ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: Permission denied It does exact same thing,no matter if I am root or regular user. What can be the reason for it? Thanks again, Georgi Stoynev
Copy the file to a folder where you want to install it, then from a shell, cd to the location and do a "./GoogleEarthLinux.bin" and the archive will be extracted, checked and installed. Then you can either click on the created script icon googleearth or type that from a shell and it will start the program. I love this program since upgrading my 3d graphics card! :) Hope that helps you. magnet :) On Saturday 22 Jul 2006 17:53, Georgi Stoynev wrote: > Hello everyone, > I just download Google Earth for Linux. It is only one > .bin file which I don't know how to install.I want to > use linux version instead of emulate .exe with WINE or > other emulator. Is it supposed to have README or more > files, or is just this .bin? And what I have to do to > install it? > > Thanks, > Georgi Stoynev __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
