JM2> Wouldn't konqueror handle that -- with [x] SHOW FILE TIPS , and JM2> [x] SHOW PREVIEW IN FILE TIPS set? Never tried that before - it's very nice for a quick glance at the first page. On my screen, though, the text for most everything is not readable. Any way to make it bigger so I could read it [other than a huge 4096 display :-))]? Perhaps if it were possible to see the preview without the tips it might be bigger. JM2> Open "stuff" of interest in a new tab... I noticed right away that I could not tell much by just being able to see only the first page, even on those where I could make out a tiny bit of the words. It would be sooooooo nice to be able to scroll through - if only that window could be made to stick so one could manipulate things there. I still long for something like GQview for text. :-)) Very nice that it does a variety of formats though... Sometimes stand-alone apps are better than trying to get a browser to do everything... JM2> HTH Yes it did, and I will use it for some previews even though it is not all I was looking for. Thanks very much for the suggestion. -- rikona mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
