I've used mc only for aiding in disaster situations, and never looked at the viewing capabilities. In addition to f3, it's also possible to get the right pane to do a 'quick view'. This lets me scroll through files in the left pane, and see the contents of text files in the right pane, which can also be scrolled through the document via the mouse. This is about as good as the 'real' QuickView I was referring to, at least for text files. Also, it is functionally GUI, which is all I really care about - I can go through files about as fast as I can press the arrow keys & mouse. I can do without all the pretty eye candy as long as it works. It's GUI enough.... :-)) R> At least another possible solution. A reeeeally good suggestion.
