Looks like your original install was a 32bit rpm install and not the 64
bit, not sure how to fix that except do a reinstall making sure you get the
64 bit package. HTH

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for responding, but I can't believe that... I just downloaded, burned
and installed the 64 bit version torrent last night from the club page.
Unless Mandriva did a huge oops with the iso.

Whatever the reason is, it still looks like Dennis is right in the sense that you have
a 32bit version of at least one package already installed. For example, this line
file /usr/X11R6/man/man3/XF86Misc.3x.bz2 from install of
libxorg-x11-devel-6.9.0-5.8.20060mdk conflicts with file from package
lib64xorg-x11-devel-6.9-1.cvs20050915.2mdk
says quite clearly that libxorg-x11-devel... is conflicting with lib64xorg-x11-devel...
Since your list shows that you are trying to update the 64 bit version you must
have a 32 bit version installed. If the list that you sent is complete, then it appears
that this is the only package conflicting. If not, read through the others to work out what
files are conflicting.

Have a look at this using the package manager tools in mandriva control center with libxorg
as a search key.

For the devel file, remove it and then run your update again and it should be just the
64 bit version. If the 64bit version does not appear in the update list and it is not installed
then urpmi it to get it installed and then update it again.
