Well,

Did as was suggested. It deleted a whole bunch of kde files. Now all I have
left is Gnome running. So, it sure solved the conflicts of which I don't
have anymore. Is there not a 64 bit kde environment for Mandriva? This is
not turning out very well,

I went back into the graphical installer and tried to reinstall kde. I was
asked about 5 questions as to which file versions I should install 32 bit or
64 bit. I chose 64 bit for every file. At the end I got the famous "Sorry
the following cannot be installed" message. This list was longer then both
my arms.

Not sure what to do now.
