If you use the analogy of a filing cabinet and its files, NTFS is
the filing cabinet. Paper files don't look any different
depending on what filing cabinet they come out of, and neither
do electronic files.

NTFS vs. XFS vs. Reiser, etc. is simply a matter of access or,
continuing the analogy, it's a matter of whether or not you
have the right key to open the lock on the filing cabinet in
order to use it.
