It seems Mandriva is up to their usual tricks of changing the paths on the mirrors with no warning. I noticed it on Proxad when I started getting errors trying to update. It'll probably hit the other mirrors soon enough if it hasn't already. All of the "MandrakeLinux" directories have been moved to "MandrivaLinux" (would've thought that was done long ago, but it wasn't). For example, updates moved from:
ftp://ftp.proxad.net/pub/Distributions_Linux/MandrakeLinux/official/updates/2006.0/main_updates to: ftp://ftp.proxad.net/pub/Distributions_Linux/MandrivaLinux/official/updates/2006.0/main_updates EasyUrpmi was still giving the broken paths, so I sent an email to trem. Funny thing is, I'm getting updates now, but I'm still getting the error that led me to the problem in the first place: retrieving source hdlist (or synthesis) of "updates"... ftp://ftp.proxad.net/pub/Distributions_Linux/MandrivaLinux/official/updates/2006.0/main_updates/media_info/hdlist.cz computing md5sum of retrieved source hdlist (or synthesis) ...retrieving done ... medium "updates" uses an invalid list file: mirror is probably not up-to-date, trying to use alternate method And then I got 5 updates installed. Don't know what's up with that. Ron -- Opinions are mine. Don't blame anyone else. Rely on them at your own risk. ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
