I recently purchased a Gyration brand gyroscopic mouse and compact cordless keyboard combination.  The mouse works wonderfully, but the keyboard functions marginally at best.  Most frustratingly, the shift, control and alt keys don't work.  The package suggests that in Windows and OS X that the device would not require anything more than a generic USB keyboard driver, and I have tried using both generic USB keyboard and Gyroscopic specific drivers.  I have both Windows XP home and OS X 10.2.8 at my disposal but have yet to try this combination on either box.  I sent their tech support department (and will take issue with them over the slash and apostrophe keys being switched) an e-mail after business hours on wednesday, and I got an automated response saying that it could take up to 3 business days.  Luckily, I can use both a serial keyboard and the cordless one without a change in performance on either, and I have tried the cordless by itself without an improvement.  I did not realize how convenient the cordless keyboard would be, otherwise I would just abandon it and just use the serial keyboard and the wickedly awesome gyroscopic mouse.

Any ideas?
