[newbie] 2007 dual boot installation

Can I install 2007 but keep 2006 (it works...) and choose which to boot 
from?

I've got 2 hard drives and can set up a  new partition for 2007 to go 
in  but I'm not quite sure exactly how it should work.

Any help would be good,
