Hi Bill. I've not got 2007 installed yet, but I've got sort of the same
problem under 2006 (always have).
It doesn't "look" right (rendering), and its also unstable here, occasionally
locking up and requiring a <control> <alt> <backspace> to kill the x server.
It was rock solid under my last install, v9.2... (yeah, I went a long time in
between releases <lol).
I've not been able to figure out why.
This was installed from the RPM on the Limewire website.

Did you download the stable version?
note: Sometimes the unstable copies are just that UNSTABLE!.
