else to watch for? If I ask for clean install, will it respect /home
if it is on a separate partition without any problems?
The partitioning section of the installation lists all the partitions
and asks if you want to format them. / and /usr are selected by default
(for a fresh install they *must* be empty), and gives you the option to
format any other partition you wish. Usually, the default offerings
are sufficient.
I've had the default offerings incorrect on every occassion, so I make a
note of
/etc/fstab first to check what sizes and devices my partitions are on,
then match
these up during the install to make sure it matches the devices to
partitions
correctly before accidentally partitioning the wrong drive!
