IIRC, along the way I tried urpmi without the wget option, and did get an entry for commercial in the GUI list of sources, but there was no URL listed, so I thought it failed again, in perhaps a different way. My Konsole history does not go back far enough to check that case, though, and see exactly what I did. Using curl gets data, but does not seem to produce a URL in the GUI display for that source. I checked the urpmi 'names' file, though, and there are many listed, and they do appear as install choices in the GUI, so it does seem to work. Perhaps I'm not giving the GUI enough credit - maybe it's smart enough NOT to display a user/password combo if it's in the URL.
