I think its funny these days... I'm from Kentucky and proud of it. I know who
I am, I know my people really well. We take a lot of abuse from jokes about
us and our Appalachian ways. No biggie to us, we grin, point out obvious
mistakes or misconceptions, laugh if it is really, truly funny, and go on. We
don't linger over it, as if every single slight was a mortal blow to our
anatomy.
If I were as sensitive as some seem to be on this list, I guess I'd be afraid
to walk through Wal-mart on a crowded day... :)
BTW, where is the nationality that was the object of that particular joke? Are
they objecting? Or perhaps some of them (like me and Kentucky jokes) actually
found it to be humorous?
Or perhaps there are still some on this list that are just looking for any
excuse to go into flame war mode... I thought those days had long gone.
Apparently, and sadly...it seems not... :(
