I used to work for a hard drive distributor, and one of the things that most people don't know is that the capacity that is mentioned by the manufacturers is normally the "unformatted" capacity. When a logical structure is created on the disk, the "formatted" capacity is always lower, because of the gaps between the sectors, etc. I hope this answers your question. cheers Duncan Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
