I used to work for a hard drive distributor, and one of the things that most 
people don't know is that the capacity that is mentioned by the manufacturers 
is normally the "unformatted" capacity. When a logical structure is created 
on the disk, the "formatted" capacity is always lower, because of the gaps 
between the sectors, etc.
