I tried it using Mozilla Firefox on my Mandriva 2007 box and I saw an error
in the console that indicated a glibc error.
Subsequently I tried it in Konqueror and it worked well. There is no change
in the player window except that it asks you what you want to do with the
asf file. I clicked open and Isuddenly start hearing audio.
Ohh and I clicked on the Windows Media icon.
Here is what I have:
# rpm -qa | grep mplayer
mplayerplugin-3.25-2mdv2007.0
kmplayer-0.9.3-1mdv2007.0
mplayer-1.0-1.pre8.13plf2007.0
mplayer-gui-1.0-1.pre8.13mdv2007.0
Funny thing is it worked like a champ on my Ubuntu Breezy install using
Firefox.
